Fearless Leader
Danja Mowf is a graduate of Norfolk State University with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and a co-founder of the nationally recognized hip-hop crew The SupaFriendz. His 1997 debut solo release "Word of Mowf" received critical acclaim for it's introspective and artistic depth. In 1999, Danja received national exposure again while appearing alongside Aaliyah on the remix of her hit "Are You That Somebody." Because of that performance, he would later receive an RIAA certified Platinum Plaque for contributing to sales of over 2 million, and a recording contract from superstar R&B producer and artist Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott on her Goldmind/Elektra imprint.
He would later become the artistic and business visionary of his own indie label, Danja Zone Entertainment, producing hot singles and full LP releases for artists such as Mad Skillz, Lonnie B., Jo Doja and Tyra B. As a producer he would later form the production company, Country Boy Music, which supplied music for soundtracks, movie trailers and television.
Danja started Djing at Norfolk State University alongside notable Dj Terry Butler, and would continue to develop under the tutelage or fellow SupaFriend, Dj Lonnie B. He would go on to become a major player in the Richmond club and radio scene for the next 15 years. His love of music and media have most recently developed into his media company Maples Media Group, which services creative radio, television, film, web and and print advertising, as well as wedding entertainment through MastersoftheCeremony.com and MMGPhotoBooth.com. He is happily married with 3 sons and enjoys traveling and community service.
